Sewing is Fun!
In 2000, I found myself up to my eyeballs in hand marbled fabric because I had been at it nonstop for two years. So I created little soft sculptures from it to be used as pin cushions, sewing tool caddies, thread catchers and chatelaines. These are my Sewing Whimsies! Although I no longer hand marble fabric myself, I love art fabrics of all kinds and hand marbled fabrics will always be among my favorites.
Hand bags and totes soon followed. I quickly discovered that the sewing notions that I needed to make the projects that were in my head were not available at any sewing stores. I wanted to make fabric covered rope handles so I tested lots of different rope and found the best for the job. Then I devised a way to cover it easily. I came up with Bag Structure as one of my sewing notions because I needed something really stiff but that I could easily cut and staple together. You can make any size bag bottom insert with it you please! All of my favorite sewing notions for bags and totes are available here.
I took up digitizing machine embroidery in 2005 because I wanted to embellish my bag patterns and quilt tops with it. All of the embroidery designs available on this site are mine. Please take a look! I include a sewing project with each embroidery collection because I think it helps to see the design used in a project. I include a lot of sewing and assembly instructions with lots of pictures.
I now offer my sewing creations in kit form so that you can have the fun of making them yourself! Kits are offered without fabric and without stuffing. Please refer to the descriptions to learn what each kit includes. If you want to make more than one of a project, you can order extra parts here.
You may sell the items that you yourself sew and/or machine embroider. You may NOT mass produce the designs in any way. You may NOT copy the digitized design files to sell or give away. Everybody's got to buy their own copy of the digitized designs. You would like us to stay in business, wouldn't you? You never know what I might dream up next!
