If you want to stipple the easy way, this is the way to go! My hands can't handle free motion work because my joints are as old as I am so I let my embroidery machine do the work for me. These designs are perfect for variegated thread! There are three stippling motifs: small, large, and large triple. Each comes in 5"X7" and 5.5"X8.5".

Stippling a large area such as for the Bohemian Bag shown below can be done easily. Use the previously stitched stippling design's basting rectangle for reference when placing the next embroidery's basting rectangle.

Machine Stippled Bohemian Bag

Stippled Bohemian Bag: The piecing is all fused onto a layer of fabric. Then the stippling is added using this machine stippling. The piecing/fusing instructions are included with the Bohemian Bag Kit.

Stippled Out on the Town Bag and Accessories: This group shows this stippling done in variegated rayon 40 weight thread on hand dyed fabric from Bold Over Batiks. I like King Tut variegated thread for this design because the thread color changes about every 1.5".
