Description

This is a very easy bag to make and a great way to use your embroideries. The bag is lined and interfaced and has a magnetic closure. The instructions include the design layout shown on the front of the bag. Instructions include a multitude of colored pictures and diagrams. The file is in pdf format. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the file. You can get it for free by clicking on the link at the bottom left of this page.

This bag shows a design composition made up of parts that are in the Asian Embroideries collection. You will need to purchase the embroidery files separately. There is a list of these files to the right. You can mark the check boxes here and then click "add to cart" and the embroidery designs will go into your shopping cart along with these instructions for the Asian Egret Embroidery Shoulder Bag. These embroidery designs are also available separately.

To make this project, you will need the following: two machine embroideries (the Landing Egret and the Egret Flock with Moon) plus 1/2 yard fabric for the exterior and the handle; 1/3 yard of craft weight interfacing (27” width), and one third yard(12”X42”) of interior fabric. Handle will be pieced. To cut handle whole, you will need 60” (5 feet) of length.
Notions requirements: one magnetic closure (3/4” diameter); 1”X24” of craft weight bonding interfacing such as CraftFuse™ by Pellon®; 40 wt embroidery thread (see thread chart). Susa Glenn Designs’ Straight’n’Square™, Machine Embroidery Squaring Tool is helpful if you have a flat back on your machine.
