Bird & Honeysuckle Folk Art Embroideries Bundle
This download includes a group of four embroidery designs inspired by ancient Asian Folk Art Batik designs. The layout for the composition shown above is also included. This layout was created to fit on the front of StudioKat Designs’ Carolina CarryAll! What a great combination!
These designs all have one color only. The embroidery stitches include lots of French knots, back stitching, and fills comprised of parallel stitching (back and forth technique). There are a lot of open areas in the designs where the fabric will show through. The stitch lengths are slightly longer in the fill areas and the back-stitched lines to give a more hand-done effect.
This group of designs are intended to be used as components for larger motifs. The scale of the various designs work well together. Simply print a number of placement templates and arrange them to your liking.
