Continuous Line Machine Embroidery Designs
Machine Embroidered Stippling is a good example of Continuous Line Machine Embroidery Designs.
All the designs in this group are stitched in simple straight stitching. They can be used similarly to continuous line free motion quilting designs. The larger scaled single motif designs stitch a single line of stitching so work well for variegated thread. The designs with multiples of motifs usually stitch double runs of straight stitching so may not be as suitable for variegated thread. Other than the jump stitch from the basting rectangle to the start of the first motif, there are no jump stitches as a rule. The basting rectangles allow you to easily and accurately align a new stitch out to the prior stitch out's basting rectangle.
These designs work well for machine quilting with your embroidery machine. You will need to hoop the project (top fabric, batting, backing fabric). A tutorial is located here.
Please note that a number of the downloads offered here are actually bundles of several variations of a design. For example, the Stippling design shown above includes three variations of stippling and each variation comes in two sizes (5"X7" and 5.5"X8.5"). I am treating these groups as individual designs to simplify things. Please read the details for each download to learn what is included. Each download will come with the machine files (EXP, EMD, JEF, HUS, PEC, PES, VIP, XXX) and a PDF file of instructions and paper placement templates to print. After you download a purchase you can delete the machine file formats that you do not want.
