decorative machine embroidery designs are included (pictured below)
along with two digitized oval box openings, one for cube boxes and one
for rectangular boxes.
These little covers really dress up those mundane boxes of tissues that never quite go with the décor. The included embroideries have been specially designed and sized so they land precisely where they should after the project is completed. Master layouts / patterns are for the common rectangular shape, measuring 5"X9"X about 3.5" AND the common cube shape, measuring about 4.5"X4.5"X5" tall. Heights are adjustable so this pattern will accommodate most tissues sold in rectangular boxes today. Look for tissues that have the pop-up feed feature (top access). Boxes that are accessed from the side and top (i.e. new Puffs) will work, but will not pop up for single tissue dispensing. Embroidery designs are of Fantasy Flowers AND Honeysuckle Vines in Folk Art motifs.
The oval cut-outs in the center of the covers are stitched in the hoop so that it comes out perfectly every time! The top area of the cover is interfaced. These are fast and fun projects for the beginning sewing/embroidery enthusiast and each can be completed in about an hour (excluding the machine embroidering).
These designs stitch out in one color only. The embroidery stitches include lots of French knots, back stitching, and fills comprised of parallel stitching (back and forth technique). There are a lot of open areas in the designs where the fabric will show through. The stitch lengths are slightly longer in the fill areas and the back-stitched lines to give a more hand-done effect.
