Description
This classy bag has a double knotted rope handle and a zipper closure. There are lots of interior pockets to organize all your things. Showcase a favorite piece of fabric or machine embroidery in the center of the bag's exterior pocket. The
Asian Add-A-Pockets
designs work really well with this pattern.
You can use a different size of rectangle for your focus fabrics and alter the width of your borders to compensate.
In addition to this kit, you will need the following:
1 focus fabric piece that measures 4.75”X 10” for the front of the bag
2 matching focus fabric pieces that measure 4.75” X 10” for the back side of the bag and the overlaid pocket. The amount of fabric to buy depends on the size of the repeat.
1 fat quarter fabric to cover the handle
4 fat quarters fabric for the border fabrics
1/2 yard fabric for the lining and interior pockets
1 yard of #9260 UltraFirm™ by HTCW® for interfacing
12”X22” craft weight iron-on interfacing (CraftFuse™ by Pellon®)
Liquid starch to prepare the handle fabric
Use a zipper foot for the zipper installation
Use a walking foot (if you have one) to machine quilt the pieced fabric exterior to the interfacing.
