Here is my collection of Folk Art Batiks Embroidery Designs. This group was inspired by ancient Chinese folk art batiks. These machine embroideries are charming and versatile because they look hand made. These embroidery designs contain a multitude of French knots along with lots of stem stitching and satin fills. They look elegant stitched out with rayon thread and look more folksy stitched out with 50 wt cotton thread.

All the designs in this group are stitched in simple straight
stitching. They can be used similarly to continuous line free motion
quilting designs. The larger scaled single motif designs stitch a
single line of stitching. The designs with multiples of motifs usually
stitch double runs of straight stitching. Other than the jump stitch
from the basting rectangle to the first motif, there are no jump
stitches as a rule. The basting rectangles allow you to easily and
quickly join a new stitch out to the prior stitch out's basting
rectangle exactly.
