If you want to stipple the easy way, this is the way to go! My hands can't handle free motion work because my joints are as old as I am so I let my embroidery machine do the work for me. These designs are perfect for variegated thread!

This download includes a group of stippled right angle triangles motifs. There are five sizes of triangle designs: 3"X9", 4"X4", 4"X6", 5.75"X5.75", 5.75"X8.75". All designs come in two stippling sizes, tiny and small, so there are a total of 10 digitized designs included in this download.

Wonderful things happen when you use these designs repeatedly as machine quilting done with your embroidery machine! The effect is similar to trapunto work with the void areas between the stitched designs puffing up and creating wonderful depth and texture. You can make fabulous pillows, bags, and other wonders with the quilted fabric!

Stippling a large area such as for a flanged pillow can be done fairly easily. Follow the guidelines for quilting with your embroidery machine located here. Use the previously stitched stippling design's basting rectangle for verification when fine tuning the exact placement location of the next embroidery's placement template for hooping. Verify a second time at the machine using the previously stitched basting rectangle's corners for reference. Remove all of the basting rectangles when the work is complete. Basting rectangles have long stitches and are easy to remove from the back side.
