All of these Sunflowers & Bees machine embroidery designs below were digitized in 2005. These are available here as single embroidery design downloads. The designs are also grouped into projects so that you can easily see what can be done by combining several of the designs on a sewing project. Several bundled designs and projects downloads are also located below for your convenience. These designs are all 4.65"X7.77" except for the One Little Bee which is 3"X3" (including the basting rectangle).
Additional Sunflowers embroidery designs, the Bodacious Sunflowers, were digitized in 2008 and are available as a bundled download. The Bodacious Sunflowers do NOT exactly match the Sunflowers & Bees Embroideries collection. They are a larger scale and all of them fit within a 5"X7" stitch area. The 2008 digitizing style has more of a hand embroidered look to it. The individual designs can be combined in endless ways to give you hours of fun. Create your own combination easily by printing and rearranging the paper templates on your fabric or project pattern.
These machine embroidery designs look best if stitched with rayon thread. The fills are directional and the stitched designs have a lot of three dimensionality that is emphasized by the light reflecting off of the rayon thread. Rayon thread has a nap (like velvet); polyester is smooth (no nap) so its light reflecting properties are different and lack depth (less contrast).
