Description
This little bag is just the right size to hold what's needed and still be comfortable to carry all day. There is a hidden exterior pocket with an easy to install (no pins!) zipper plus an interior pocket. The bag’s structure makes it substantial even though you make it with light weight fabric. The small size makes it comfortable to carry and you custom size the shoulder bag handle to be the perfect length for you. There are lots of diagrams to go along with the detailed instructions.
This kit contains the following:
Pattern
7.5 feet of GreatDrape! (braided polyester rope) for the handle
Susa’s Little Turning Tool for covering the rope with fabric
Bag Structure for the bag bottom insert, nylon luggage zipper
a Zipper Tassel Pull Kit.
In addition to this kit, you will need the following to make this project:
1 fat quarter fabric(21”X18”) for the bag’s exterior
2 fat quarters fabric(21”X18”)for the bag’s lining and pockets
1 fat quarter fabric(21”X18”) to cover the bag’s rope handle
1 yard of heavy craft weight sew-in interfacing
craft weight iron-on interfacing such as CraftFuse™ from Pellon® for the zipper installation
Liquid Starch to stabilize the bias cut fabric for covering the rope handle
Use a zipper foot to install the zipper.
Use a walking foot for this project (if available) or you will need to pin every 2 inches when sewing the interfacing layers.
