Description
 
This large carry-all tote/shoulder bag is perfect for putting your textile art to good use! Bag (24”X12”X13”excluding handles, when full ) has interior pockets, a pair of hefty 1/2” thick fabric covered rope handles, magnetic closure & super easy design! The bag opens easily by sliding along the handles; the knot is for decoration only. The sides of the tote measure 26”X18” before sewing. The shaped bottom piece increases the carrying capacity. All over thread embellishment increases the heft of the bag dramatically. Instructions are included to make the bag from whole cloth or to make it a fast and fun scrappy way using Lite Steam- A-Seam and 8 fabric fat quarters.

Included in this Kit:
  • Pattern and instructions
  • two pieces of Large GreatDrape! rope for handles
  • Susa’s Little Turning Tool for covering the rope with fabric.
Fabric & Notions needed but not supplied:
  • 1.25 yards fabric (43” wide) for the bag’s exterior & pockets
  • 1.33 yards fabric for the bag’s interior and handle
  • 3/4 yard of muslin for maximum heft of bag’s exterior (optional)
  • a collection of 8 fat quarters for the scrappy look (optional)
  • 3.5 yards of Lite Steam-A-Seam® for the scrappy look (optional)
  • 1.25 yards of fusible fleece for interfacing, 45" wide  (fuse muslin to the fleece and use for the interfacing for best results)
  • 3/4” magnetic closure.
  • Thread for embellishing.
  • Freezer paper for pattern transfer (the kind that comes on a roll)

Quick shipping from the Studio brought the kit really fast and the quality of the cord for the handles is excellent.  I expected flimsier material.  The directions are clear and easy to follow.  Thanks!
