Susa’s Little Turning Tool from Susa Glenn Designs is just a great little tool. It doesn’t look very impressive. It’s a stick made out of hard brass. But it is machine tooled so the ends are smooth and it will cover rope with fabric for bag handles like magic! Why buy brand X’s expensive tube turner when you can buy the Little Turning Tool for three bucks? The same Little Turning Tool will turn big tubes and tiny tubes.
The Little Turning Tool will even turn mouse tails for LittleMouse making! I found this out one day when I forgot to follow my own instructions and sewed up six mouse tails and left out the thread and bead for turning. Mouse tails can be really hard to turn. They are sewn out of 1 and 1/8 inch wide bias strips and are pointed on the end when turned right side out. If you leave out the thread with the bead tied on the end and you don’t have a Little Turning Tool, you are out of luck and you have to start over. I decided to try the Little Turning Tool and it worked like a miracle! This is a great doll making tool because it turns tiny parts with ease! |
